*See the bottom for an explanation of Tough, Ledged, and strapping options.*
This curved shield has a lower profile that gets out of the way of your sword arm while providing superior coverage to your shoulder and hip. A curved shield typically covers more than a flat shield of the same size; Generally speaking, you generally want a curved shield about 2" smaller in diameter than the equivalent flat shield.
The shield is polyethelene white non-cross-linked foam 2 inches thick with a 2.2lb density foam that is firm, rigid, very light, will last for years, and require no additional padding. These are completed shields that come with covers, straps, and everything else needed to field immediately.
Tough - The Tough versions of the shield are entirely 4lb shield foam with the same dimensions. This makes them more durable for years of hard use like shield rimming, shield bashing, grappling, blocking very heavy pole shots, and any other abuse you can throw at it.
Ledged - The Ledged option adds a 1" thick inner lip of cross-linked, weapons-grade foam to the inside rim of the shield that helps it sit comfortably on the shoulder and adds superior protection.
Strapping Options - The default for the shield is center strapped vertically, with the handle grip inset from the edge of the shield approximately 4". The shield is ambidexterous in this configuration. Getting a low-strapped option moves the straps vertically down the selected number of inches. If you are right handed, get the righty low-strap options. If you are left-handed, get the lefty low-strap options.
